Some frequently-asked questions are highlighted below.
When can I complete my child’s registration and/or submit required paperwork?
The registration process for new students can be started online. Please visit our District Website for information.
If your child is a returning OUSD student, you do not need to register but you will need to complete the data confirmation process explained HERE. This process is completed through your Aeries parent portal account. Upon completion of data confirmation, please print out your child's emergency card and submit in person at the school.
If you have moved, you will need to bring in 2 proofs of residency. Approved types of proof include:
- Utilities showing the residence address
- Mortgage or rent receipts showing the residence address
- Landline phone with residence address
Our Ivey Ranch office offers in-person support M-F from 8:30am-3pm through 8/15 and will be open from 5-7pm on Monday, 8/15 to assist with any needs. We also welcome calls to 760-966-4800.
I am trying to create a parent account in Aeries but it states I need a “Verification Code” and/or Student ID. How do I get that?
Our amazing office staff can assist you with any registration or data confirmation needs you have. Please call us at 966-4800 or send an email expressing your need to email@example.com.
I tried to upload registration documents in Aeries but it isn’t working for me. What do I do?
Feel free to send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org and our staff will be able to provide you with direction on another method for submitting this paperwork. You are always welcome to bring hard copies to our office.
When is the first day of school?
We’re looking forward to seeing your child on August 17th. You can review the OUSD calendar for other important dates HERE. Please be aware that the first 3 days of school (8/17-8/19) will follow our minimum day schedule with dismissal at 1:05pm for all students.
When will I know which teacher my child has this year?
Class information will be shared via Aeries. This information is made available to families the day before school starts (8/16). We will send a communication when information regarding your child’s teacher has been posted in Aeries.
On the first day of school we look forward to welcoming your child and helping them find their new classroom. Families are also invited to walk the campus on the weekend (the gate facing MLK park is open when students and staff aren’t on campus) if they’d like to help their child locate their grade level classrooms. We will email our school map on 8/12 to provide details of where each grade level is located on campus.
What if my child takes medication?
Please contact the health office at 966-4821 if your child is in need of any medication while in school or if your child has any health concerns.
