OUSD Contract Negotiations with CSEA and OTA

Dear OUSD staff, 

For the first time the district will be sending you an update after each contract negotiation meeting with CSEA and OTA until a mutual agreement is reached. This is part of our continued efforts to provide access to information. This week the district negotiations team met separately with both associations to discuss the 2023-2024 school year for the first time. At these meetings the district and both associations shared the items that all parties have agreed to discuss. Those items were shared with you in our previous contract negotiations message. 

Dr. Andi Norman, the Associate Superintendent of Business Services, shared a budget overview on the California state economy and its impact on education. 

The next negotiation meetings will begin in the fall. Here is the schedule through the end of the year. It’s important to remember that negotiation meetings are not public.

Negociaciones de contratos del OUSD con CSEA y OTA

Por primera vez el distrito le estará enviando noticias después de cada reunión de negociación de contrato con CSEA y OTA hasta que hayan llegado a un acuerdo mútuo. Es parte de nuestros esfuerzos contínuos de brindar acceso a información. Esta semana el equipo de negociaciones del distrito se juntó por separado con las dos asociaciones para hablar del tema del año escolar 2023-2024 por primera vez. En estas reuniones el distrito y ambas asociaciones dijeron los puntos que todas las partes han acordado discutir. Esos puntos fueron compartidos con ustedes en el mensaje anterior sobre las negociaciones de contrato.

La Dra. Andi Norman, superintendente adjunta de servicios comerciales, compartió un resumen del presupuesto y la economía estatal de California y su impacto en la educación.

Las próximas reuniones de negociaciones empezarán en otoño. Este es el programa hasta que termine el año. Es importante señalar que las reuniones de negociación no están abiertas al público.
