Coordinator

  • Grace RidgewayDear ATP Families,

It is with great honor and excitement that I introduce myself, Grace Ridgeway, as the coordinator who oversees the adult transition program in Oceanside Unified School District.  My passion for public education and supporting the access for all students has been shaped for the past 20 years as a general education teacher for an independent study program for students in 6th-12th grade, an educational specialist for secondary education, program coordinator, and as a principal in San Diego Unified School District.  In each of these roles, I worked to ensure that students were receiving a high-quality education with inclusive instructional practices.  My greatest achievement comes not professionally, but personally, as I am the mother of two beautiful daughters. I love being a change agent for schools as we continue to build robust programs to support "ALL" students.

My three goals at the adult transition program are to build trust, improve communication about the adult transition program, and develop a meaningful experience for our students through best teaching practices.  I am so thankful to have the opportunity to bring all that I have experienced and learned with me to our wonderful community.  Thank you for this opportunity to serve our students and their families in this role.  Please do not hesitate to reach out to me if you have any questions.

    Sincerely,

    Grace Ridgeway

    Coordinator, Special Education
