About
The Two-Way Bilingual Immersion Program (TWBI) at Reynolds Elementary School is a language-oriented program designed to build fluency in both Spanish and English. Students have the opportunity to develop their listening, speaking, and writing skills in both languages.
In the Reynolds TWBI Program, Spanish is used as the primary language of instruction in the first years, while English is introduced gradually into the curriculum. All students receive a high quality instructional program centered on academic success in both Spanish and English.
The goal of the program is for all students to become biliterate and bilingual in two languages - English and the target language, Spanish.
Reynolds Elementary will prepare students to be successful in the 21st century by offering a dual immersion program in Spanish, encouraging digital citizenship, incorporating communication, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking while also implementing the Common Core State Standards in lessons and activities.
