South O Volunteer Guidelines

South O is so fortunate to have many dedicated family members who make time to help us with growing thoughtful scholars.  Thank you for volunteering your time to help our seahawks!

When acting as a classroom and/or school volunteer, we ask that you:

• Review the OUSD protocols and requirements for volunteering, accessible HERE.

• Set up the day and time with the staff member you will be assisting at least 24 hours in advance.  

• Plan childcare for any other children you have, as siblings cannot join parents/guardians during a volunteering session.  This is for their safety; you will be busy with student support while volunteering. 

• Check in at the office on the day of your volunteering session to receive your sticker badge.  (Please make sure to have your government-issued ID with you when you arrive at the office.)

• Check out at the office when you leave. This allows us to remain aware of who is on campus in the event of an emergency.
