• What are Community Schools?

Community Schools partner with families and community organizations to provide a variety of educational opportunities and support services that promote student success. They use a collaborative and comprehensive approach to ensure that all students are healthy, ready to learn, and receive the support they need to thrive.

Community schools support student success through four key components:

    • Integrated Support Services (Including academic, socio-emotional, physical, and mental health support services)
    • Family Engagement (Creating a welcoming environment and working with families as partners)
    • Enriched and Expanded Learning Opportunities (Providing more opportunities for learning and well-rounded education)
    • Collaborative Leadership (Sharing decision-making and duties)
