Our Information Technology Services Department is the central hub for all technology-related support and services within our organization. We are dedicated to providing innovative solutions and reliable support to meet the technological needs of our staff and students.

Protect Your School Device!

A Chrome Device Protection Plan is still available through OUSD! Families have a limited time after enrollment to purchase coverage.

New Students

  •  Families of new students have four weeks after enrollment to purchase the plan.
  • Register in the MySchoolBucks app.
  • Contact the OUSD IT Department at 760-966-4098 to confirm the student(s) start date.  Once confirmed, we can provide an invoice to pay via credit card.
  •  If paying with cash or check, go to the OUSD Fiscal Department at 2111 Mission Avenue between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to purchase the protection plan.  You will need your student’s name, school ID#, and $20 cash or check per device.    

Continuing Students

  • If the window was missed, families may still purchase the plan during the year.
  • Please click the link to register in the MySchoolBucks app prior to having the device inspected.
  • Bring your student’s device to the OUSD IT Department at 2111 Mission Avenue between the hours of 7:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.  A Tech will confirm that the device is in good working order.  Once confirmed, we can provide an invoice to pay via credit card.
  • If paying with cash or check, go to the OUSD Fiscal Department at 2111 Mission Avenue between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to purchase the protection plan.  You will need your student’s name, school ID#, and $20 cash or check per device.

Cost of the Protection Plan

  • $20 per year for up to two (2) incidents per device
  • $60 per year family cap, for up to two (2) incidents per device

What IS Covered?

  • Accidental damage
  • Cracked screens
  • Liquid spills
  • Theft or loss
  • Fire or flood damage

What IS NOT Covered?

  • Chargers
  • Protective cases
  • Willful acts of abuse or neglect
  • Tampering with or attempting to repair devices
  • When a student leaves the district and does not return their device
