Accounting Roles and Responsibilities:
Our Accounting professionals prioritize the District's financial status, ensuring compliance with all Local, State, and Federal regulations. We provide the Administration and Governing Board with accurate, timely financial data to support student-impacting decisions.
Key areas of focus include Budgeting, Accounts Payable/Receivable, Financial Analysis, Reporting, and General Accounting.
Attendance Accounting is the tracking of attendance and absences of students. The purpose is to verify compliance with compulsory attendance law and it is also used to calculate the state's apportionment, our primary funding source. School staff record and monitor attendance at each site. Their average daily attendance (ADA) data is reported monthly to our Fiscal attendance accounting team who report those numbers three times a year to the state. Regular attendance = more funding for our students.
