Christine Corrao is in her second year as the Assistant Principal at McAuliffe Elementary. She is committed to working in a partnership with Mrs. Kelly and the staff to nurture the academic, social, and emotional development of each of our students.

Christine is a north county coastal native, and grew up in nearby Encinitas. She graduated with honors from UCSD, obtained her teaching credential at CSUSM, and is currently completing her doctorate at SDSU in Educational Leadership (graduating Spring 2023). She has 20 years of educational experience spanning grades Preschool-12th, as both a teacher and administrator. Her most recent administrative experience was as a high school assistant principal in the Vista Unified School District from 2017-2021. Prior to her administrative career, she taught high school and middle school English and Career Technical Education, developing a unique pathway program in Child Development for students interested in joining the field of Education, in addition to writing CTE Pathways in Welding, Building and Construction, and Hospitality and Tourism.

Christine has a background in theater and music, and hopes to develop more programs to nurture the arts here at McAuliffe. In her spare time she loves to travel with her 10-year-old daughter, and read LOTS of books. She loves working with the wonderful students and families of McAuliffe Elementary School.
