Co Chair
As the Owner of Premier Printing Company located here in North County San Diego, Chris does more than just sell printing. With more than 20 years of sales experience, he's obsessed with innovating new ways to create value and a great experience for his clients. Chris brings integrity, enthusiasm, stellar service, and professionalism to every project.
After graduating from the University of Oregon with a BS in Economics, Chris launched his career in the finance industry. After working in various banks for most of his career, he decided to make a switch and give the print business a try. He quickly saw how effective marketing can transform businesses, and has been passionate about the industry ever since. Chris has won numerous sales awards and recognitions, led a fortune 500 company in sales, and is always trying to learn and improve so he can better serve his growing customer base.
Chris is emphatic about the importance of networking, building relationships, and creating value within his community. He remains active in Oceanside and its surrounding cities and serves as an Ambassador for the Oceanside Chamber of Commerce. He's a loving father of a teenage son and adores his family. When he isn't working, you'll find Chris reading at the beach, playing with his Black Lab named Luna, seeking adventures outdoors, and listening to live music.

Treasurer
I am the Senior Librarian of Teen Services at the Oceanside Public Library. My day to day job involves spending copious amounts of time working with students in the Library (although COVID-19 has moved this virtual) by running programs, developing teen material collections, doing outreach, helping customers with research and book requests, managing a robust student volunteer program, and lots of informal mentorship.
I am passionate about giving all students a chance to succeed and have found my niche in working with high school students, where I see both the desire and the need for more opportunities. I am proud to be able to offer paid internships to high school students at the Library this school year and offer an ongoing job preparedness program for both Library interns and volunteers. I am also a member of the Oceanside Promise College and Career Readiness Collective Action Network and work with various community committees and organizations to share planning and resources towards our common goals of student success. I’m excited that the “Set Up to Succeed” program took flight last school year allowing all OUSD students to access Library resources with their student ID numbers and I’ve been working to provide resource access assistance to school library staff and teachers.
I’ve been with the Oceanside Public Library for roughly seven years and worked in Libraries in Ohio prior to that. I am thrilled to be out of the Midwest (I hate snow!) and love living and working in such a beautiful and vibrant place! In my spare time, you’ll most often find me reading comics or watching Sci-Fi. -

Meeting Schedule
Next Meeting: April 20, 2023 4:00pm - 5:30pm
- The advisory committee assesses specific areas of the CTE program and makes suggestions and recommendations for improvement, such as curriculum modifications, updates to facilities/budget/student competencies, purchase of new instructional materials and equipment, or adoption of a new safety protocol.
- Secondly, the committee helps the instructor(s) and/or administrator carry out specific activities. These activities may include judging competitive skill events, setting up a scholarship program or working to identify and arrange meaningful structured work-based learning opportunities (WBLs) for students in the program.
- Lastly, the committee promotes the CTE program throughout the community and strives to improve the relationships between CTE educators, business/industry partners, and/or the community. Promotion or marketing could include talking to legislators, speaking for career and technical education at board meetings, writing articles for local newspapers or obtaining media coverage for special events.
We give many thanks to Katieann Henkel, past CTE Counselor, for her contribution to the Oceanside Unified School District CTE Program in which the development of the Committee By-Laws and Handbook's 1st Edition was published.

Creating the future of digital media
We want to create the future of digital media. The benefits to completing our program firstly is the knowledge and skills you will gain as a professional media producer. The student will walk away with a complete understanding of how to plan, execute and monetize their art. The staff at mediamakerz.org are longtime working professionals and DreaMachine staff. Our internships are funded from the work we put in as professional creatives. We rely on our integrity, effort and quality of work to keep the DreaMachine going so we can create more programs for our future Media Makerz. We believe that accessibility is the major obstacle for many young creators. The tools they need are often too expensive or have such limited access that they are rarely given what they need to see their full vision to fruition. We at MediaMakerz.org spare no expense in the quality of the equipment that we make available to our students. We don’t want anything to stand in the way of our students bringing their Dreamz to life. We appreciate the trust given to us by all parents to influence their students' special young minds.
